Delete Your Typozy Account

Delete backend account data and understand what remains stored locally on your Android device.

Account deletion and local data are separate. Deleting a Typozy account removes backend account access and associated server-side account records. It does not automatically erase snippets, media, actions, settings or backup files stored on the Android device.

Delete from the Android app

  1. Open Typozy.
  2. Open Settings, then Account.
  3. Select Delete account.
  4. Review the confirmation and submit the request.

When the server confirms the request, the Typozy account and active sessions are invalidated. If the in-app option is unavailable, email [email protected] from the Google account used with Typozy and include “Typozy Account Deletion Request” in the subject.

Server-side data deleted

The deletion process removes or de-identifies the Typozy user account, linked Google identity, active sessions and refresh tokens, device-to-account associations and account AI-usage records, subject to limited retention described below.

Local data that remains

Snippets, actions, media references, settings and locally created backup files remain on the device because Typozy's content storage is installation-scoped. To remove them, delete content in Typozy where available, delete exported backup files, or use Android Settings → Apps → Typozy → Storage → Clear storage. Uninstalling Typozy also removes app-private local data, but may not remove exported files saved elsewhere.

Guest Mode

Guest Mode does not require a Google account. A Guest user can remove local data by clearing Typozy's Android storage or uninstalling the app. A request to support can be used for backend guest or usage records only when sufficient information is available to identify the installation without exposing another person's data.

Data that may be retained

Limited records may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, transaction reconciliation, dispute handling or legal compliance. Google Play maintains purchase records under its own policies. Retained records are restricted to the purpose requiring retention and are not used to reactivate a deleted account.

Processing time

In-app deletion is processed when the request is successfully confirmed by the Typozy backend. Email requests are normally completed within 30 days after identity verification. A longer period may be required where law, fraud prevention, a billing dispute or a technical recovery process requires it; we will explain the delay where appropriate.

Before deleting

Export any local backup you need before clearing app storage or uninstalling. Account deletion cannot restore local data, reverse a Google Play transaction or cancel a subscription automatically. Manage or cancel any active subscription in Google Play separately.
